IWV Mesh is a community-driven initiative aimed at creating a state-wide mesh network of grid and solar-powered Meshtastic radios in Ridgecrest and Inyokern Ca.
This network functions as a regional text messaging system, enabling people to communicate both publicly and privately with others on the network — all without relying on cellular or internet services. Solar-powered nodes further enhance the system’s resilience by operating independently of the electrical grid, making them a potential communication option during natural disasters.
